Get a buick to run mid 11s isnt that hartd with slicks and aftermarket heads. just looking for a combo that sounds stock looks stock and when i put the slicks on it runs mid 11s. anyone witha combo that wants to share would be great. doing my GS and looking to put a sleeper combo in it. thanks Doug:3gears:

Larry's while a strong runner is far from.stock looking, stuff gets difficult and tradeoffs in driveabilty are mandatory when looking for solid 11's with stock parts and pumpgas compression
Talk to Gary (Greatscat) - I know he has build some 482s that look stock - sound stock, even with at Q-jet and pull like a freighttrain for resonable money.
Sparty 11.69 @ 115+ with 9x28 slicks on 8" Buick wheels. 455 .030 over with ross flat top pistons, ported iron heads, ported iron intake, ported iron exhaust manifolds, CR 12:1, 2.5" mandrel exhaust to the bumper, Competition Components/Scott Brown 233-248 cam, 750 cfm Q-jet with stock 1970 GS air cleaner. Switch pitch trans with 2500 high stall and 3.73 gears.
Car by itself tips the scales at 3600 lbs. Ignition is a Pertronix 1181 conversion in the stock distributor with the matching Pertonix coil. I am using stock 1969 rockers with adjustable push rods.
