Anybody have any ideas on what I can do on my racecar while I am waiting to get the rear end assembled? I am going to start getting ready to wire up everything, everything that I can already get wired I will do this next week. I also have my fiberglass stuff in that I can work on, but I am not sure if I should do that until I get an engine in it. So, does anybody have any ideas on small things that I can do on my racecar, that does not cost money, but will help out in the long run? I would like to stay busy on this car so that it will not become an unfinished project. I would sure hate for that to happen.ou:
I let my dad take my circle track car to a big race at O'Reilly Raceway Park and never got it back... Don't do it Tyler :Brow:
Ok, I am going to start wiring I guess sometime this week. I am also going to order http://store.summitracing.com/partd...t=SUM-G1624&N=700+4294922918+115&autoview=sku http://store.summitracing.com/partd...t=SUM-G1620&N=700+4294922918+115&autoview=sku so that I can get started on the body panels sometime this week.
gut the complete interior and door panels. Take out/off and sound deading and other "build up" that has gethered over the last 39 or so years. I must have scraped for three days on the floor pans while I had my car a part. I still find little pieces of glass in the dash vents and inside the doors where somewhere in the cars life it got a side window broken out.:eek2: while your at it look in the trunk drop area. :TU:
Thanks for the info. I have done a lot of work to gut the car. (I cut the metal out from underneith the door panels, and the side impact braces from inside the doors) I am going to put the door panels back in, because I like the stock looks.
I put some heat/sound deadner back in since it is a street driven car. Not really tring to loose weight, I got mine down to 3050 pounds.
What else did you do to the car? Do you have any pictures? That is my goal, and if I can get it lighter that would be even better!
