My old Corvette ran at Island dragway back then, it was a gold 60, one here is almost....Check out the wheelie in the Deuce roadster. Only time you saw that back then was the Hemi under Glass, Teleflex Trick Truck, others that were designed to do that. Listen to some of that shifting....those aren't automatics.

That IS the way we used to shift, most times with the clutch, but not always...in a tight race, with my B/MP Valiant years ago, no lift, just a little wiggle on the go pedal and yank....Can't really tell, but I bet that's exactly what Strickler was doing there. When they raced the Old Reliable, they went through T10's like eating popcorn...must have had 4 or 5 spares in the truck. LOL. Remember Barry Poole from Canada in the black Mustang a few years back? We saw him in NMCA.You talk about somebody that could shift!
