Nice job. As far as a Chevelle I would take one. My Dad had a 66 396 Muncie 3 speed on the floor. It was the 325hp but it spun a bearing and the dealer put in the 375 hp engine. When he was in Germany with it in 69 this Itailian guy wanted to trade his Ferrari for it. The guy could not afford the taxes that would be due on the American car so the deal never happened. If I had a Chevelle I would be putting an LS3 and drive train in and living the good life.
I guess I missed the street racing part. One guy gassed it a bit, but the camera car had a car in front of him.
The 75 Omega brings back memories. I had one while I was in the Army back in 83-85. That car was a d-o-g off the line. But once it hit 50 mph or so, it was pretty good. With a 2.73 rearend and a Chet Herbert cam, headers, Holley carb and re-worked heads, it did pretty well. I remember putting the speedo needle past the indiot lights on the high side of the 100 mph speedo. I'm guessing 130 mph or so.
