    Where is that in NY?

    Donny:

Any website or somewhere we can get info on that? That sounds like Memorial Day weekend.

    Thanks

Thanks. I'm in if the car's running! Can't make Gonzo's race due to Dick Miller at Norwalk (sacred Oldsmobile meet). This will be great. Brother has a place in Wells, Vt. (Lake St. Catherine) just North of there. Great fishing, neat place.

Anybody else out here thinking about it, or just talking?

May Have to check it out!

I think that's Memorial Day weekend, a 4 day weekend for us, GM folks, and is not far from my folks about 4 hrs, and about an hour from my mom's old house she has restored in Catskill, NY, so will have to put it on the calendar. The folks that went last year, said it was awesome, and the Hemmings folks were overwhelmed with the attendance for a first time event. Thanks for posting! RV

I have a friend who has an auto repair business in Poultney Vermont, about three miles from Lake St. Catherine. He plows part of the lake in the winter for the locals to ice skate. :)

I will be there racing in F.A.S.T. I will be what some here call "chum", and loving every minute of it. :beer

It'll be such a hardship to travel all of the 15 miles to the track.

Well right now, 13.30's @ 105.88, but I'll probably work on it a bit for this race. Still have the factory style crush bent 2" stock headpipes going into the factory 2 1/4" tails. The limiting factor will be the fact that it's a convertible without a roll bar. I know N.H.R.A. lowered the et limit for the hartops to 11.50, anyone know if they did something similar for converts?

Aww heck, what am I taking about, if they gave me another .5's I'd still be illegal. :Dou:

Dave, Roberta, I just got off the phone with Ralph, he says PS / FS people are quite welcome and that there will for sure be 2 out of 3 matches for all cars running behind the Quick 8. Ralph also said admission might be free with advance reservations. :beer Head over to Y1 site for more info as it becomes available.

    Thanks Tom,
One of the things I look forward too the most is coming out and rowing the boat with the rest of you four speed guys. :TU:

I'm in. Just heard back from Ralph. Pulled the engine back out of the Ramrod last week, lots of work between now and then.

    Mike:

We've been going to Wells,Vt for about 20 years. Great place. Know Poultney and the other little towns as well as Bommoseen (sp?) golf course. Great fishing on Lake St. Catherine. My brother Don has fished there so much that he had to paint a sign on the bottom of his boat so the fish don't get bored with him: This is not Don His favorite trick is to make a loop and go right back to the same spot. Always a nice 3-4# smallmouth that comes in to see what the commotion was all about. It works!

    Dave,
I was just thinking that you and I will probably be racing each other in the two out of three. My 13.36 was at Island Dragway [sea-level track in NJ]. At LVD I''ll probably be in the 13.50's. My guess is you'll have the Ram Rod going about the same when you put it back together. Two blue A-bodies with manual trannies on G70-14's. Sounds like fun to me! :)

    Tom,
Tell Dan I'll have the full local pizza report of the area by the time you guys get here.

No problem running a slow car in FAST as long as you're not in the ladder with the big boys. Not fun running a 12.0 Pure Stocker with a 14.0 Pure Stocker either. 2/3 matchups work no matter what letters you paint on the windows ...as long as there's enough cars to cover the spread from 12.0 to 15.5 or so.

    Mike:

That should be about right and a lot of fun. Hope to get my MPH back that we lost. Gonna convert the car to manual steering over the winter also and look for some other weight reductions (even on the exercise bike myself!)
