Dave- I play piano and guitar, and was a sound engineer through hig school and into college. I had a band during the last few years in college, and I was also lead vocalist (out of necessity, not desire!). Ask Milan or Greg G. - I pretty much always have a guitar at the track. In fact, last year I bought a cheap one to start bringing out, as my '72 Martin D-28 is just getting to be worth too much to risk it. I have only 6 guitars and 3 amps right now, along with a small PA system. I think I topped out at 8 guitars about 6 years ago. It's not as bad as cars, though - at least guitars are a lot cheaper!!!!
The bad people were "burn outs", athletes "jocks" and musicians were "Band fags". I was in all 3 groups and found it funny that only the "band fags" got to take school sanctioned road trips with girls. I played soproano through baritone saxes through high school and college and gave it up completely. Jazz band, Concert band, Marching band Garage band, whatever. John
played trumpet in Jr.High, switched to playing 8 tracks in high school, then cassettes for a while and a few CDs, now I mainly just play the radio!
