I am currently working with a local shop to make the front bumper brackets out of alm, I am going to start off with 10 pair and see what happens. I figured Instead of making 1 why not 10. Not sure on the price yet. probably in the 30-40$ range. Hope to have a quote by the beginnig of next week.

If you are going to put a glass bumper on your regal this is the way to go. Or If you plan on swiss cheesing your bumper support. Let me know if you are interested, I will keep a list of all interested people. If I have more than 10 I will order more.

I will probably do the rears when I am ready for those too.

Nice idea Dave, but can you go all the way to the frame with em? Those shock absorbing mounts weight a ton and if we could get a bumper support + frame mount it would be ideal!

That's exactly where we are getting killed with the weight.......

Clint, I guess I need to be more specific. The piece I am going after is to replace the bumper shock brackets only, so I can attach a glass bumper. IF you wanted to keep your steel bumper I suggest getting a alm bumper support and swiss cheesing it. These should still work in that application also. I will post a pic as soon as they are produced.

    Thanks for the interest.

    Hi Dave,

Already been there :TU: The Al support can be hacked up pretty well with minimal effort, but those damn shock supports can't.

Since I run a Century the glass bumpers will not work...

I think a lot of people of all g-body makes would buy a lightweight aluminum mount that goes from bumper to frame for stock bumpers. Naturally it would have to be sold as an off road race only type part. Substantial weight drop where you need it the most.
