Has anyone found and installed an alu radiator that is a direct replacement for this. Correct size and location of inlet and outlet. Lower hose outlet high enough to clear the core support. Cap on the correct side, and most importantly, the tanks will fit in the upper and lower factory insolators? Thanks in advance.
Used this on my GS400 and works fine. Top outlet is different from the GS400, but I think the 340 uses this style. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KKKQT72/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Prices are up as it was $192 when I bought it.
I've used radiators from Auto city classics in both our 67' 340 Special and 69 GS400. The 67 ' 340 if I remember had no issues installing and never a heat issue after it was installed. The 69' GS400 had some issues with the isolators but I made it work by trimming the isolator with a razor blade. They both run cool and never over heat in the hot summer traffic. The 67' Special is all stock and the 69' GS400 at over 600hp definitely isn't.
Thanks for the replay, Fred, looks like the Champion Cooling Systems AE571 All Aluminum Radiator will work. redsixty9, I have purchased things from Auto city in the past, can not find a direct fit radiator listed under Buick that looks like it will fit. Again, thanks.
