I have Art Morrison http://www.artmorrison.com/ building a new frame for my 55 Special. The new frame will allow the incorporation of airbags - front and rear. Also, disk brakes and new power plant.

There have been serveral delays... long story. I still do not have it - heck, I may... I am in China for the next couple of weeks. I have not checked with the shop.

Anyways, the new frame will be all new boxed steel and powder coated. They worked off of measurements from my old frame and some information from the 55 Buick shop manual.

Once I get the thing and lay eyes on it, I'll give you a report.

    Kind regards,

    Andy

Man, that looks great! What controls did you use? Where is your compressor? Air tanks? What's the ride like?

I am several months down the road on my 55 Buick project (http://www.55buick.com/shuttle.html) since last post - not as far as you!

For the switches I made a center console and just used a basic toggle switch. I have independent control for each bag. I mounted the valves, tank, and compressor in the trunk. Here is a pic of the front end
