I've seen many 68 air cleaners but except from the lid haven't seen same one here or anywhere else. This is what I have.
Just interested if any of the board members have seen before. Thanks 100_0520.jpg 100_0522.jpg

It kinda looks like a 69 up GS air cleaner somone removed the front. What side does the PCV come off? if it is the pass side it is a 69 if the drivers side it is a 70/1. The hot air tube looks kinda like a 68 but can not see it well. Thanks Bill.

Yep,it's a ram-air base missing the fiberglass snorkels.68 GS 400 is a standard single short inlet steel aircleaner with chrome lid.And hard to find.:Dou:

Ah, OK that makes sense. Some whomever took the snorkels off the air cleaner. Wish they were not so hard to find, would like to have as original as possible. Maybe gsfred or someone else could help me out with the lower part of the air cleaner?

Huh ... I woulda thunk my '68 Sporty 400 would be the same piece but it does seem the shnorkel is longer

Sorry for the delay on pics but I'm moving slow as I have broke or cracked my tailbone. This air cleaner is solid ;more so then pics look, but needs beadblasting but I do not think it will be pitted bad when done so.Do not believe that I have the lid.
