The non-ac box will not cover the area you are talking about. When I did my car from ac to non-ac, I pop riveted a piece of metal from the inside to cover the whole open area and then filled the firewall (area where it is indented) with bondo to make it smooth across. I am sure other means could be used, but it worked for me. Actually I think it came out pretty good! Not welding it, I believe, allows me the opportunity to more easily return it back to ac car if I want to later on.

I know someone sells an aftermarket piece just for this. Don't know who, but I know folks have found them on E-Bay

    AC change

I just finished my change over and purchased a fiberglass unit made by an outfit in Lakewood CO. Very nicely made peice and fit the original heater hose location. price was around $130.00 but it looks great and fits perfect. Name of this place is American Graffiti. 535 W.6th Avenue,Lakewood,CO. 303-275-9099. If you have a problem getting one call me at haome and I will go to the store and get you one. Ken
