I bought a 1969 Skylark, and swapped the 350 for a 455, but then I joined the Military, and it's just been sitting for the past 5yrs.. I'm getting ready to start building it again.. I'd like to dump a lot of new tech into it, but then again, from my motorcycle racing experience, I know that power alone isn't as important as power to weight.. I was wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to find a fiber glass body for my car, that looks stock? A friend of mind from the Navy says that there is a place in FL that makes custom carbon fiber parts, but he said for the price of a full body I'd be better off buying a Vette.. Fiberglass is pretty light, and a lot cheaper.. Any custom fiberglass , or production fiberglass companies out there that make parts for a reasonable price?

Nope, everything for a Buick is custom made or an adapted version of a more common, generally Chevy or Olds platform. Decklids, hoods, and doors I am almost 100% sure are out there for 70-72 if not 68-72. Bumpers, fenders, and some other misc stuff I think is outthere but I don't know where from. The words Custom and Cheap are hardly ever in the same sentence unless following, I made these.

That's what I was afraid of.. I might end up doing it myself.. I work at a fiberglass shop.. But molds are gonna be a pain to make.. And sneeking out a car body won't be easy either.. I'll do it when I'm ready to be fired.. lol
