Advice on In Chassis Cam bearing Swap

    Obviously it's up to you and you know your situation better than any of us. That said though, I have to believe this project would go A LOT faster with the engine out, even considering what seems like all the extra stuff to do.

    In your situation I think I would get the engine completely unbolted and ready to come out, rent or borrow a hoist just long enough to get it out and on the ground or stand. You'll be able to see what you are doing 10,000% better, have more access, etc. than leaning over the fenders and front end.

    Car is running awesome. 30 lbs oil pressure at idle :idea2: Compared to 13 lbs. previously.

    However, I spoke too soon on the sound of the cam. Once I got it dialed in, the sound mellowed out.

    However, no joke: cam bearings are EASY to replace.

    IMO, doing that would have been a huge waste of effort and funds. I had plenty of visibility, and I didn't even remove the A/C condenser. Couldn't have been much better.:laugh:
