Adventures in model building Ok so I remember why I stopped doing this as a kid. Its way to much detail to get it done right or as right as I would like. I did try how ever but in the end I said F it. So I said screw the right way to do a GSX. First thing was to yank off the stock intake and GSX air cleaner. Then played with it and the high-rise manifold it comes with. Its that 2 n1 kit to make a real GSX or a racer with dual carbs sticking out the hood. Tried it a few way and then thought hey, I got a 2 n 1 64 GTO kit too. Pop it open and I see a blower and a 3 duce setup in its kit. The blower looked like the ticket but how do I rig up the belts to looks close to right. So with some playing I got something that could look real. Had to lose the Alt to tie in the blower belt set up but its a race car right? Other side ties in near the PS pump and used the chrome shifter form the GTO to make a bracket to hold the pulley on that side. Trying to make it real as possible like it should be there. So I have the high-rise tunnel ram intake on it, with a blower on top of that. With the highrise carb plat on top of that, and then dual carbs with velocity stacks. I had to do allot of trimming on the high-rise hood that came in the kit to make room for both the blower and belt, so it could open and not just be a lift off racer hood. Other mod was using the bigger tires on the rear with the GSX rims. I also liked the GSX side skirt grafix over the standard. Hood and wing will stay in primer, no mirrors. Almost so cool someone should really build one.
Here is the one I ended up doing for an xmas craft on xmas eve. Just a snap together easy kit. I did paint it black though.
thats crazy im goin a 70 gsx and its so mush little detail im 17 and i have so many other things i should be doing but im still doing the model lol
