I'm looking for advice on how to properly adjust my convertible top on my 64 Special. When I hit the switch, the top will come almost all the way to the windshield but not all the way. Then you have to fight with it to get it down that last few inches and pinned closed. There has to be something out of wack here..... Any help will be appreciated.

See how the top is down in your garage, yet no sun can shine in the car? My best guess is you leave your top down a lot and it has probably shrunk. If it's tight, no amount of adjustment will loosen it. Guy I bought my car from left the top down ALWAYS. It was/is a nice top, but it's shrunken + wrinkled because of that. Do you leave the top down in the garage? BTW...your girlfriend has nice eyes!

I'm not sure how old the top is but it is in not too bad shape, other than it is dry and stiff. Ya, I keep the top down 99% of the time and only really put it up if I get caught in the rain, or like now in the winter months in storage.
