How much of an upcharge is there to have the parts painted Buick red before they get shipped out? I'm thinking intake manifolds and the like.

I didn't know they offered that service. :Do No:

Don't know if they do or not. They might though and that's why I asked :TU:

Up here painting can be problematic between October and April. I figure it would be worth a few extra bucks to get it painted before hand so that I can put it all on without waiting a few more months.

I'm not really sure, I've asked dad before and they've been iffy about it, but I can check again and if nothing else it will be the cost of paint and maybe a few extra for the time spent painting. If they're fine with it we can work it out and if you buy the paint I can shoot it for you.

That's a good deal. I was going to have to buy the paint anyway so it's probably easier to just buy a can and have you use it up then pay to have "hazardous" shipping cross country.

What would you want to have painted?

Since I already got my new intake I'll answer with my future plans so that others can figure out their plans too. I know of a few people who are interested in knowing this info.

Pre-painting intake manifolds, timing covers, thermostat covers, and heads. Just like you do with the valve covers. That's a service that alot of people would jump on.

The valve covers are powder coated, so if someone would want them powder coated they'd need to let us know so that we can set the part off to the side and take it down when we do a run of valve covers. Otherwise I can paint anything with a rattle can in the nice warm Arizona Sun
