Ok, this may sound dumb but has anyone thought about using an Edelbrock 215 intake manifold on a 340? A while back I seem to remember someone saying that adaptor plates could be made since the V of the 340 is wider than the 215. I have a picture somewhere of a modified intake for the 340, though I'm not sure which intake was used (possibly a Rover). Anyway, has anyone attempted this? Just thought I'd throw this out to see what people think.
Yeah, it can be done.... But don't start with a 215 intake. The plates would have to be pretty thick with causes angle problems with the bolts. A slightly wider one is avalable for adaptation. If you're set on this, take a look here: http://au.geocities.com/p76cortina/P76intoTC.html You'd have to combine the intake in the middle with the plates on the one at the end to get what you want.
