I talked to Rhonda last night and Tim had a accident trying to put a large piece of metal into the hay mound of his barn. The metal hit him knocking him to the ground and landed on his foot (Rhonda thought his right). He called for help on his cel but was in so much pain that he couldn't be understood. Rhonda said she got his shoe off but it took his dad to get his sock off. Ken (Tims dad) said that there was no blood but thought there might be some broken bones on the top of his foot. Rhonda said that Tim told her to call Stefina and have him build him an auto for the Chevelle, what a purestocker!
OUCH! Thta will be painful. Now when Tim speaks out on the board, he'll have to insert the other foot.  Hope you heal quickly big guy and we'll see you in September.
It's a metal truss that was going to be used for a overhead crane/troll system to put things in the hay mound.
Ouch...what's with all these foot injuries this summer. This makes 4 I know of...worst one here was my neighbor whose foot slipped under his mower as he was pulling it up a small ditch.... Sure hope it turns out OK and you'll be back in action soon, Tim.
Gee thanks frank, don't know what hurt worse the pain or the ZING !!! 300+ lbs from 15 foot. Only a couple broken bones on the opposite side of the foot. It crushed my foot on the left- brokem on the right. Thank god I had my work boots on ! But foot is swollen like a football, can't put a cast on because of the swelling and tissue damage(Compartment syndrome). Have to wait till next week to see the orthopedic surgeon. Thought my leg was broke too, just bruised the tibia and calf muscle . I've broke alot of things in the paST BUT NEVER felt pain like that! Not sur if I'll have a smiley like this for Stanton:3gears: o No:
Oh No !!! Tim get well soon !! Just bring the car I will drive for ya  .. Seriously take car of your self and get well for Stanton.. Paul
I wish you well Tim. Don't enjoy those pain killers tooooo... much. Keep us posted on your progress for the race. I know that Rhonda can row gears in the Chevelle. Jim
OUCH! I hope your foot heals quickly Tim. With a sore foot on the pedal, your 60' time may get better. I know what you mean about the pain with that kind of injury, I experienced a "pilot's fracture" of my right foot many years ago. I darn near cried like a baby, the pain could only be described as excruciating.
OMG!!!!! Man O Man that sounds painful ,and O so familiar. Hope you get better on that one soon. The familiar part for me takes me back to the year 2000. We were preparing our house for a second floor addition. My wife and I were the general contractors for the job but I did as much work as I could myself ,to save money. Being in the trades came in handy. My son Trevor was just 2 yrs old and Nancy was pregnant with our second child due in March. In late January,I was digging out sections of my basement to pour footings for new structural steel and columns that would need to go in to support the added weight of the new second floor. I needed a piece of plywood to help make one of the forms,so I went outside where I had a 4x8 sheet of 3/4" plywood. It was covered in snow and ice and was heavy! Before bringing it downstairs I wanted to shead some of the ice and snow,so I lifted it vertically in front of me,and slammed it down on the basement stairwell curb.It bounced up and just then the wind blew. When it came back down, it dropped about 18" off the edge of the stairwell right across the toes of my right foot like a guillotine. I felt something snap, and my foot started feeling wet like right now.Man did it hurt!!!! I made my way back in the house and sat on the inside basement stairs, screaming and cursing like mad. My wife came down to see what had happened, while my son stood at the top on the stairs. We peeled my work boot off to reveal a bloody nasty sock, then the sock revealing my nasty bent broken toe. I'm calming down a little at this point, when Trevor,my 2 yr old son utters " Daddy.Don't be a wimp.Get back to work!" . Where that came from we'll never know? Nancy and I were laughing our butts off, although for me it was still painful. This was one of the first sentences Trevor had ever put together. Kids really do say the darndest things. Rich C.
So Clary, just to confirm, is this your GO foot, or MAN PEDAL foot? Either way, broken toes and foot breaks just plain suck, not much thay can do to get you back on your feet except time during the healing process. Might be time to dig the Torino out of storage, or just put a TH350 in the Chevelle. I would have said TH400, but what the heck, some are running an extra 2 points of compression, so I say go for the TH350:Brow:
Just a month and a half ago I fell off a ladder from 10 ft. It sucks!! Hope you have an easy recovery Tim!
