first, I've cleaned up the fiberglass heater box sustem and it looks a little dingy. Does anyone know if you can apply some fresh resin to make it look better? Any other solutions that have been proven to work?

Secondly, where to go for replacement A/C hoses? How would one go about getting the hoses fixed/replaced on a 64 Skylark?

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

You need to have the hoses reman'd. Not cheap.

As for the ac box, just apply some satin clear to it.

Contact an auto ac shop in your area and see what they can do for you.

My friend does this kind of work but it is labor intensive.

I wasn't looking for a show car - just wanted to clean up the AC box I found in a junkyard. I used semi-gloss black paint and it looked very nice. This wouldn't be correct for show, however.

I was thinking urethane clear, will have to try a spot. It's not a show-car, so if that doesn't work than the old black will probably go on.

It sounds like braided lines will be the answer for the hoses, I was thinking of going to a Sanden compressor anyway. It sounds like the best answer for both the compressor change and economical hose conversion.

    Thanks George and Truzi

As long as the box cleans up fairly well, just shoot it with clear. Remember that most of it will be covered by the fender, hoses, and hidden behind the block. Mine started out gross looking, but cleaned up pretty good.
