I'm going to ditch the A/C. If you have a non-A/C box please let me know.

Bruno - you have one off what car? I want a functional heating system and I am not concerned with originality.

I was looking at my options. It seems a company at acdelete.com makes a kit
Summit racing has a goodmark stamped piece http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GMK-4030-379-641/</SPAN>
I think this one would work, but not sure.

Hi,get in touch with Larry the wizard here on the board,a couple moths ago we put one of the aftermarket ones in.You do have to remove the right fender, but that would be the best way.Mine, just like in my car [stock one ]I don't have heat, but I don't use the car in the winter anyway.so mine works really good for me.Bruno.

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

AC and non-AC cars have different firewalls for the pass side.

The heater hoses are in different locations.

If you are converting to non-AC for an AC car....you need the reproduction AC delete box
was made by American Graffiti and I think a new company took over....was

    www.acdelete.com

Made from fiberglass and a good idea....do a search here for reviews.

ACdelete.com makes theirs with fiberglass and OPGI sells one made from ABS plastic. There was/is an article on this board were the guy made his own from the parts he removed. I thought it came out nice.

Another option is to find a donor Skylark non A/C car. Take all the non A/C heater parts off it for your swap parts, and cut the sheet metal section out of the donor car firewall. Over cut that section so you can trim to fit nicely OVER your A/C firewall and weld it over yours. The nice thing about this is, everything matches up, looks correct and you can always go back and remove it to have the A/C firewall still in tact if you want to go back to A/C or the next owner of the car. You can hardly notice this once it is all there and done nicely.
