I am in need of a set of 455 compressor brackets, I think. I beleieve that the big top support bracket that mounts to the compressor and intake are the same on a 350 and 455, but the brackets on the compressor itself are different. If someone knows where to get some please let me know.

you need to be year specific for what you need as they are different. The upper and lower compressor brackets are the same for 350 and 455 however for most years.

The car is a 70 skylark (origional 350 car) with the stock compressor and compressor brackets, but the 455 motor and upper and lower brackets are out of a 76 limited. This is why I am asking I have several different brackets and none seem to fit. It seems like the upper bracket it too tall or the compressor brackets are too short.

I would rather just get the compressor brackets if I could. The 70 model brackets belong with someone that needs a full set. I have 2 sets less the compressor brackets. Someone did not think they were important.

I have a bracket question also; I am putting together a 69 GS 400 with A/C and have a couple sets of brackets. I installed everything and when the A/C belt crosses the alt pulley is it supposed to sit down into the grove? :Dou: I may have mixed the brackets...I didn’t know that they were year specific. So have I got them mixed up and is the A/C belt sitting too high in the alt pulley? If you can use what I don't need then you can have my extra brackets.

    Thanks
