A body center section vs E and G body???

Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the center sections under an A body vs an E body vs a G body?
I have a 72 E body and want to upgrade rear ends but there is not much aftermarket out there for them.
I was hoping I could get a Strange S60 with the cast in upper control arm ears... are they all the same angle and height?
If not, do you think a guy could make up the difference with adjustable control arms?

Have you considered a ford 9"? I think it would be easier to get a wide truck housing and build it. You could easily weld to the housing. I know the ears and brackets are available. It would be much cheaper than an s60 too.

I did consider that... from what I have read in other threads, it sounds like a stock 9" would need a bit of reinforcing to be strong.
I suppose a guy could get the aftermarket bare housing that was already reinforced and weld all the brackets on.
I may be over thinking it, or erroring on the side of overkill. Just thinking that a big heavy car with 550hp could be hard on things if it hooks.
Buy once cry once? I appreciate the advice!

Are you planning on putting slicks on it?

I don't think so. Maybe wider, softer tires.

You could order the housing with the back brace install, then have your other necessary brackets welded on. You could also contact some of those companies and see if they could do the whole thing in-house. They might not have one ready on the shelf, but they should be able to make one with a 9” housing.

Good idea! I will try calling them tomorrow and see what they say.
Is this one of those rears that would be common to any full size GM 71-76?
If I tell them that, maybe they would have drawings on h

This is what you need... Just slightly wider. rear end and the perches will be slightly wider lower control arms I think are slightly wider too.
I think if you give them the measurement they could build it fronm a 9" Jim
WORSE case the upper should be the same angle and you put on all the lowers and spring perches your self if they will not do the custom location welding of the brackets of the tube area.
