I'm looking for a 1112027 distributor for my 455 GS. Date code should be late A, any B or early C.

    Thanks, Bob.

    Hey Bob,
Is there a part number change between early 70 GS 455 distributors and 70 GS 455 distributors? My early 70 GS 455 distributor shows numbers 1111984. I'm looking too for a replacement but I'm asking for a 1111984. Being a Newbie I wondering if I'm looking for the wrong number?? I pulled this off http://www.buickperformance.com/page1.htm. I have been using this site for alot of information..

I believe there were 3 different distribs for the 455 cars that model year if you count the stage one. You reference one of the three.

I saw the chart you listed but I took my numbers from the original GM Parts book. They show 1112027 for the GS 455 in 1970 and 1112016 for the 70 stage one. If this is wrong, I hope the experienced guys will chime in.

    Thanks, Bob.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like we are both on the correct path. My car is March of 70.

    Bob.
