    tranny case

Grant, most tranny guys can do it in an hour, but my guy will take a week! I'll take to back to Rosslers & they will freshen it up too. should be a couple days turnaround. Randy

That just means they're really good, right? Or really busy, which still usually means they are really good...

Anyways I just meant that it doesn't really take that long...

Best of luck, you'll be back on TRACK in no time flat!!

    Re: JEFF IN WA

I can't!:stmad: At least I'm not thinking so with a running car anyways. It's broken... I still don't know exactly what's wrong but its seized both ways. I'm really strong, but I cannot get it to move either way.

You know, that REALLY complicates removal of eng. not being able to get to 2 of the torque converter bolts. That meant that the tranny has to come out leaving the converter bolted to the flexplate!:Dou: With the deep sump oil pan on the engine, it has to go straight up several inches and with the tranny still bolted, it hits the body.

Of course this creates some more issues having to remove the tranny, the headers and the exhaust!!:Dou: Unfortunately I did not leave provisions for the exhaust to be removed between the mufflers and the headers like I should have/wanted to. T/A's 3"Exhaust is solid welded from collectors to tips.:Dou:

Thank God my bellhousing broke some years back and I had put a JW bellhousing on the tranny. It makes the tranny a little bit skinnier than stock. Just barely fits down between pipes!

Then once the tranny has been removed, the rest of the dominoes will fall...

I've made this whole car SO HARD to work on:Dou:

Can't pull this unless this, this, this, and that are are removed:gt:
Can't remove the heads while the engine is in the car because of the STUDS! No possible way to remove oil pan either thats for sure! I made the sump a little big

I just want to get this engine out finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to know what's wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Badly bent rods, broken pistons, broken rod, WHAT??

Thanks for letting me spout!!

P.S. What happens to a motor when the secondary float sticks and floods AT LEAST ONE CYLINDER WITH GAS!! And then a BIG DUMMY (like ME!) turns the engine over and hears a LOUD SMACK! :eek2: :Dou:

To late now, I saw fuel SQUIRTING out of the bowl vent on the secondary side and falling right back down the venturis.

Damn HOT ASS MSD had lit the motor off by this time:Dou: It happened so fast, I know the fuel pump was only running for about 20-30 secs before I started cranking. All hell broke loose IMMEDIATELY! Something broke big time. Piston, rod, or valve, I'll know shortly...

ANYWAYS, Chris, TOO MAKE A VERY LONG STORY SHORT...

probably not, but I SURE WANT TOO!!:ball: :ball: :ball: :ball:

Maybe I could meet you guys there, and shoot the **** with yens!:Do No:
