HI All, I am hoping someone can help with my "other" buick. This is my daily driver, it is a 3.8 liter--not the Ultra. My charging system red idiot light keeps coming on. It has no specific pattern of when it comes on or goes off. I have had the battery checked and the altenator checked and both check out not only good, but excellent on the computer at both Autozone and at our local fix it shop. I am told that 94 was the first year that the computer system controlls the altenator on this car and it MAY have something to do with that. I have had no trouble with starting or driving the car. It's just that this light just keeps going on and off at different times and stays on for different amounts of time. There is no set pattern with it and it has been happening for several months now. More than anything the light irritates me and I always wonder if I am going to break down somewhere. Has anyone out there got any other suggestions on this, or do you think it is OK just to keep on driving like I have been and ignore the red light? o No:
