I'm new at this , well to buicks any way, but I am trying to plan this project out ahead of time. I found 2 rearends I could use or I could re-do the stock one but I think the 8.5 rear looks like the best choice so far.
But will rear brakes from a 90 camero work on a 8.5 rear.
what do I have to do to make them work and is the best rear for the job.

    gs4u2c Is that a 442?

Are you talking discs or aluminum rear drums?

Never tried 90's stuff. Why not 75-79 Trans Am brakes? Those axles are more compatible and I think the rotors are bigger.
