Is the Holley 870 Street Avenger a good carb for a Street/Strip 455? It Ads are intersesting 500plus HP, electric choke, bolt on and go, easy adjustments. Was wondering if the added cfm would make this a better performer than a Qjet? Thanks Allen
This is just my opinion, but I think the Qjet, properly tuned, will offer better performance. Holleys do not use metering rods, creating a less than optimum mixture at part throttle. The 500 HP claim is for WOT airflow comparisons. It has been my experience that Holleys are great for the tinkerer; they need the most TLC. Ray
