Saw one on E-Bay two weeks ago. Vendor had a killer "Buy it now" of a measley $175.00 US. These are hard to find , let alone in good shape. If your search ends up fruitless get hold of www.americanautowire.com. Talk to Don. They made a new , exact replica for me two years ago, $35-40. They have all the right ends in stock. EDIT: Buy it now is $ 125.00 US. This is the same harness.
Steve- I spoke to Don at American auto wire. He says that he doesnt carry it and cant get it o No: . I should have jogged his memory with your name. As far as the one on Ebay, Im not sure I need one that badly. 35-40 dollars sounds reasonable for a good used one. 125.00 sounds a bit like price gouging. I have one, just that the connector that plugs into the 8 track is a little mangled. Heck , I can even get way with just a connector if someone has one.
Call Don back. He made one for me, was not in his inventory at the time, but he had all the necessary pieces. He has most original blueprints for all these old cars. If it's any help, he also fabricated an intermediate harness for the idle solenoid on my '71 350. Might help to throw in " Canada" or "Canuck". I'll be calling him again, next time I need something like this. Very easy dealing, excellent product. GM part # on the harness is not listed..NLA... but a sup # of 6299101. Sounds like he's got a great memory, like mine. Just doesn't last very long.
I think I have a connector. Let me check. This is the one on the harness or the one on the rear of the 8 track? Let me know, I have both from a parts 8-track player.
Steve- Too bad i didnt read your reply sooner! I would up emailing the guy on Ebay with the harness. He sold me a new connector and terminals for 19.95 w/express mail shipping. The black connector in your picture is the harness side I needed. You pic does answer some other wire color questions I had though. Thanks anyway!
