i met a guy that put a 455 in his 79 park 2dr. he was asking me about changing out the rear end so that it was a posi. does anyone know if that body style park ever came with a posi or not?or am i looking for something that never existed. i would have to imagine one out of a similar year caprice or other b body would work
He most likely has a ten bolt,8.5" bolt in axle rear on the car now.Posi was an option in '79 for the Electras and Park Avenues.There's a chance that he has another version rear under the car that was also available back then but of all the '78-'79 cars that I've looked at,they all had the 8.5.Good luck.
WELL THATS GOOD, WORSE CASE SCENERIO HE COULD ALWAYS JUST GET A NEW POSI UNIT AND GEARS IF IT HAS AN 8.5'S IN IT.
