My fuel tank has some holes in it so I saved up enough cash and went to get another one from Advance Auto Parts. They sold me GM1213A w/ filler neck. When I got it home, the filler neck was wrong. It's in an "L" shape design and my original filler neck almost points straight out. They ended up taking it back with no problems but they couldn't find the correct tank/filler neck combination.

Sooooo, I checked with Napa and Autozone and they both had the same tank as well. In the mean time I patched up the tank with some fiberglass bondo.

Does anyone know where to get the correct tank? Or how can I best patch the tank?

    Thanks,
    MARK

Try the Parts Place, let me know how you make out. I too will be needing to replace my tank soon. It leaks under full throttle acceleration.

Of course, no parts for the Regal/Century. Very typical.
They do have other 73-77 style tanks but the filler necks are wrong. it needs to be 16" long and the Chevelle/LeMans tanks have a 13" neck.

I would call them up and ask if they know whether the '73 chevelle uses the same tank or not. Same body style.

When I changed my tank on my '75, I got the tank from a local radiator shop. I took them the old tank and they soldered my old filler tube on the new tank. (Chevelle)..
