Bump I have a friend with one, not a nice one.... but it runs and drives. Had no clue it was that rare!
WOW this takes me back... My first car was a 1976 Lemans sport coupe and I always wanted to put one of the GTO ram air hoods on it. What a great car I also had a 73 lemans that I totaled and I sure miss that car.
Geez I'll tell you, if I was in the market this may be a no brainer for me. Get in and go with 3 pedals and a 400, plus it's my favorite color, for $14k. This is the years to ge now because there's nothing left in the musclecar market to appreciate, everything else has seen their ceilings.
The '73 isn't my cup of tea but this being as clean looking as it is, having a 400 and three speed manual, it would be a fun car to drive for sure! It's got A/C and the engine compartment looks clean without a bunch of extra wires or other "repairs" over the years. Should be a good car for someone.
My buddy said the car will be on ebay as soon as he gets the door panels on. He just got the keys made for all the locks and the ignition switch, so the panels can go back on the doors and then it's off to ebay. It's a real nice car I hope it does well. Can't believe someone wouldn't make a "pure stocker" out of it.
