    Hi,

A friend of mine just bought a 1973 Century GS 350, and is contemplating a conversion to a 4 speed. How available are the parts? I'm guessing that 68-72 parts do not work? Our assumption is that the clutch linkage parts (pedals, Z bar, etc), except for the bellhousing, would be common with chevrolet?

    Thanks,
    Tom

from what others have stated in the past for 70-72, the pedal, linkage, etc are not the same as the chevelle. the z-bar for the buick is unique. as for 1973, could be the same as a a chevelle.

Hi Tom, Back in the 80's I parted out a 73 chevelle,74 elcamino,73 442,and a73 lemans gt. All were 4 speeds. The parts were the same. Just to make sure,I looked them up in a chevy and a buick parts book. Clutch pedal 3994483,z-bar 3994486,pushrod 3994490,frame bracket 3994492,brake pedal 1241359. All parts were listed as 73-75 a-body. Hope this helps. Clark

    Clark,
Thanks for the info. I will pass it on to my friend. I found that "The Parts Place" has a conversion kit for the 73 Chevelle so hopefully that will work.
    Thanks again,
    Tom
(no longer have the 350 Chevelle)
