I just drug home a beat up `73 Cutlass S today.I was wondering if the front disc brake set up on it would be the same as on our 70-72 Skylark's & GS's?Just glancing they looked the same and so did the power brake booster.Anything else mechanical wise work or interchange on a 70-72 Skylark or GS?How about a 73-74 Century?
If anyone knows for sure let me know.......Thanks,Jeff

    Colonade Window trim

    Hi Jeff,
I think the disc brake set up is different on '73 and up cars but should interchange with '73 and up cars. Is this car the big window colonade roof line? The "S" model is. If it has the stainless window trim on the quarter windows I really want/need a set badly. There is not much that interchanges. It probably has a short shaft TH400 in it. The 4 spoke wheel will fit on the GS if it has one but would be incorrect. The rearend would fit '73-'74 GS cars but not earlier cars. Things like the power window motors would interchange too. Let me know on the trim. I am in KY also.
    Thanks!

    Hello Brian,
This car does not have trim around the rear quarter glass. The windows are kinda triangle shaped & do not roll down that i can tell.I'm not very familiar with 73 & up cars yet, especially Olds.

It is definitely a Cutlass "S".I might have the year wrong, but i'm pretty sure it is a 73,it also has the 70-72 Cutlass type fake chrome hood vents.First post 72 Cutlass i ever noticed that had these.
I was hoping i might find a short tail shaft T-400 in there once i get a chance to to take a good look.

    Not A Colonade

    Brian,
I've been reseaching this car on the Net.What i have is a 73 Cutlass S Coupe, not the Cutlass Supreme Colonade.
I think in a few years one will start seeing more of the 73 and up cars being restored.Actually some of the 73-74 cars look pretty darn good.
    Later,Jeff

Brian, if you're still looking for that 1/4 window trim, contact this guy. Sha424@webtv.net His name is Shawn and I know he sells this trim at the Carlisle show. He ain't cheap, but all you can do is ask. Last time I saw him, he had a couple of sets left--this is for the large 1/4 windows and not the small ones I presume. I know he had the large ones, don't know about the small-formal roof line trim

When/if you email him, just tell him Bill G referred you. He lives about 10 miles from me so if you need me to look at the trim, if he still has, let me know.
