well we didnt race but he didnt think much of my car,was at my wifes sisters house for cook out and i took my brother in law for a ride, that was fun,15.00 dollars for gas for 5 minute ride, stop at bar next to her house for a beer and theres a 67 skylark and a 70 roadrunner there.we go in for a beer and on the way out theres two guys standing at the door looking at my car out front.so to get a race going i say what yah got in the skylark, nothing its stock, okay next i say whos roadrunner, guy next to him says mine,i say to my self kool,so my brother throws in a little wood to the fire so lets line em up.they look at my car and say to thereself with that.i say i love it when people underestimate the power of a buick.im thinking mine is somewhere in mid 13s,not sure yet,so i ask him what his does and he says mid 12s and i say ah forget it then mine isnt that fast.when i leave i do nice posi for him, then my brother in law says i think he just stroked yah.how do we know he does mid 12s.he had a stroked 383 motor( big deal).i really think i would beat him.well maybe next time,im not scared,my car really comes out of the hole and has great midrange,it just keeps pulling.well thats my story. I would have liked to see that race, or at least heard about it. I had a 72 Chevelle pull up next to me this weekend but I had the kids in the car (and he saw that too) so we just kind of waved and went our own ways. Oh, well.
