what is the correct color scheme???assembly manual doesnt give a clue.ive seen silver highlights and black borders,is it a skylark vs gs thing?can anyone weight in or have pics of originals?
For '72 the cheapest base model Skylark and the GS got black paint on the taillight lenses and also shared the same plastic grille (but painted differently). The upper trim level Skylarks (Skylark Custom and Skylark 350) got silver paint on the taillight lenses and used different grilles than the base Skylark & GS. Also, based on the originals cars I've looked at, a lens with black paint got black retaining screws, lens with silver paint got silver screws but I can't say this is always true.
