IMG_8503.jpeg IMG_8504.jpeg IMG_8508.jpeg The 70 Skylark they have for sale is my old car. I did the four-speed conversion in it. Looks like it still has the three pedals and floor shift steering column that I put in it. That was a super clean, super original 65,000 mile car. Zero rust anywhere.

    That's a Red flag.
I bought my 70 GS 455 Skylark from a consignment dealership where the owner would NOT meet me, nor talk to me or communicate with me over emails.
I was told he was very ill, later I found out that was a lie.
I ended up buying this Buick with lots of mechanical issues that became expensive and time consuming.
If the seller will not meet you, just walk away, because he is hiding something. Vet

I think the seller is saying they won’t drive the car somewhere to meet up, because before that they say to come look at the car in person.

That makes since. I wouldn't drive my Buick to met up for someone to look and see. Vet

    That
S interesting you say a 72 Stage 1 is over priced.
    What makes it over priced?
I thought 4-speed Stage 1's bring big bucks?
So, what i'am I missing? Vet

Have you seen the pictures? It’s not a 4-speed, and his price is inline with a pristine example for a ‘72 Stage 1, HUGGER is right.

“All original” ….with backwards mounted lap belts and fubar rear seat upholstery ….missing air cleaner…gleaming gloss lower dash paint.

he says “come look at this beauty if you’re truly interested” so the will not meet comment means he won’t travel to meet.

I did not see the pics. I thought one of the board members said it was his car he sold and it was a 4-speed.
Guess I read all this wrong, sorry. Vet

So I read docgsx, where he says it's his old car and he converted it to a 4-speed.
Looks like the new owner converted it to an automatic.
    Missed that in the writeup.
    Guess I was speed reading.
Ya, hugger is write on. Vet

Here is what seller said about meeting:

"You come to my house and check the car out and bring cash":)

I can respect the "come and look at it" stance. Way too many tire kickers want 100s of pictures and all sorts of other BS with no intention of ever buying.

She also said her husband just had triple bypass surgery February 9th so she is unable to meet up with people at this time.
