    SpinLark but seriously

Cruising with my friend last night. We ran each other. My car is a 1972 Buick Skylark. 350-2 barrel, dual exhaust. Nothing special, all stock. He has a 1979 Chevy Camaro Z-28. 350-4 barrel, k&n air cleaner, 4 speed and he says posi.
On the first run i smoked him. I took him really easy. On the second run, I smoked the tire, one wheel wonder, and he beat me. The spedometer said it was goin 40 mph but the car was barely moving. I was pretty proud that my 2 barrel Buick could take his Camaro, but he has all that stupid emissions crap.
    Man, I love Buicks.

Man he swears I put a bottle on it till this day. man it was afun car for $200.00. You should puta 4 barrel on yours.

Just don't try it with a late model Z-28. Those LS-1 motors are very impressive. My BBB can take my son-in-laws 2002 6-speed up to about 115 but he just keeps on pulling. He runs about 13.5 and I run about 12.2. All you guys with 350's, it looks like you have a way underrated motor.

Good kill. Sounds like he got the one round because you've got a little too much power (spun your wheels). I'm a Camaro fan, but your car should be able to beat it easy, and beat some a few years older too.

Keep it up, and practice your launches... when no one is looking, of course.

I think those era Z's only had about 200 hp, mushy. My son has an LT1 Z28 that goes strong in the 12's. He claims stock but I know better I did the mods and gear change. Still won't keep up with my X :3gears:

those z28's had 175 h.p. stock  they would still light up the tires ok though. i should know, i still have my 79 z after 15 years. the 555 with dart heads etc. etc. will be the 4th motor. those things stock with a/c still weigh 3650 lbs. heavy sub framed slobs. i have lightened mine to 3300. any way i will stop rambling now.
