Im gonna be replacing the gas tank in my 72 convertible, theres a charcoal filter? behind the seat, do i need to re-install this with the new gas tank or can I just cover the whole in sheet metal?
I might be wrong but that I think is a vapor surge tank. You could remove it and use a 70 model year tank if you want but the 72 tank is available just has more lines. The canister on the LS inner front fender is the charcoal canister.
