Well, in running down various items on the convert. top, I'v now found that the "side rail gear drive" motors are missing. Anyone out there have a set for sale or know of a place they can be purchased? Really appreciate it. I got the car cheap and now I'm beginning to figure out just why.

welp, you can pay a premium and buy them from www.convertibleparts.com

Jeez Len, I'da grabbed some vert parts off the LeSabre I trashed if I knew you needed so many parts!:beer

I'm sure there are some folks on here who have access to a parts car though..

Ya Adam, me too. I don't know "nutt'n" about verts and never really had a close look at the convertible stuff. Home someone comes through. Thanks so much for your help in the past.

i didnt think anyone made the fuzzies for a buick .. i have heard of people buying impala ones and modding them. they aint perfect ...but they are better than junk ones.

ADAM, did you ever find a pretty wondow switch?
i scored a really nice 4inarow off the bay(ebay) last week.

its one of those with th long powerpost off the back. i couldnt believe nobody else bid on the thing.

I had no luck finding a door lock switch (I'm pretty sure it was not supossed to SMOKE when I used it :eek2: ) but I gently untwisted the four tabs on the back and opened it up and used fine sandpaper on the contacts... no more smoke! :TU: Just be carefull with those tabs. I broke 2 of the 4 but I used visegrips to peen the edges over to hold the circuit board in place. It works great!
