LOL....I had to look that one up Jim! Supra (Latin for "above") is an academic and legal citation signal used when a writer desires to refer a reader to an earlier-cited authority
Unfortunately law and medicine are permeated with Latin script. When you type all day using the terminology it creeps into the rest of what you do. Just for giggles "infra" means it is referenced in the text that follows.
Toyota made an "Infra"? o No: Anyway, when people post for cowl tag help, many people chime in. Where does everyone get their info from?
This time I got it from my brain. I memorized the first 6 of all the GS cars from 70 to 73 . The vins are pretty easy with a few variations like the 71 its a bastard year with all the GS hardtops beig 43437 but BB 70 44637 SB 70-71-72 43437 BB 71 43437 BB 70 vert 44667 ANyway look here I studied these and have owned several BB cars http://stage1registry.com/
I get a lot of the information from the 1970-79 American Car Identifaction Book. http://www.amazon.com/Catalog-American-Numbers-Magazine-Matching/dp/0879385189 The only thing it does not have is are what the options mean behind date code. Mark
All 72 GSs, both 350 and 455 cars, will have 434 on the cowl tag. The cowl tag will not differentiate between BB and SB - only the VIN (in 1972).
