    M-22 and hood tach?

Price seems reasonable but if the trans isn't there, the motor probably isn't either.

    Agreed...........no mention of #'s motor.

Original tranny doesn't bother me, but non original motor would completely devalue this car in my eye's!

I think if it was #'s, it would surely be listed

Oh well, still good looking car

This car looks like the same clone (real GS 455,not a Stage 1 or a 4 speed)that has been on eBay a couple of times in the last month or two and has been discussed here in several threads. I think the price is $38,900.

Wasn't that or isn't that Bobuick's car? I thought he sold it to Alaska someone for $27K. It was on E-Bay to I think.

If it is the same car than it is a real GS455 convertible that had a manual added. I thought the M21 was the standard tranmission anyway.

Different VIN, no match. Plus most of the posts here seem to indicate this was originally an auto car. This looks like a very nice car. It was on eBay in Dec and did not make reserve, which is hard to believe. I would love to have it.

If anyone is interested there are 3 videos of it on youtube. Look under M-22 or 1971GS convertible demo.

It is a beautiful car. I don't really think it's worth the 39K if it's a clone, though. But it sure is nice, and it would be expensive and time consuming to clone your own that way.:TU:

Spoke to the seller, no paper, originally an auto, probably a clone he said. :Do No: Well I guess its not 1 of the 9 I am looking for then.

That car looks like an auto made over to 4spd,stick doesn't look correct, pedal
alignment doesn't look quite kosher either. Pete

Is the vin supposed to be on a pad behind the power steering pump on 1971 models? Does anybody know?

A good way to see the numbers on the block behind the power steering pump is to aim a digital camera with a flash behind the pump. You need to get the camera down in front of the engine and aim up. I did it on mine and got a good picture of the numbers. It's a lot easier than taking the pump off.

Were the hood tach and sport mirrors options on non-GSX cars in 1971? Anyone seen this car in person?
