I need help getting the dash out of my 71 skylark. I've removed all of the screws that were staring me right in the face (I think there were 4 total) but I'm not sure where the rest are located.

    Can someone please help me?

Does anyone know how to remove the A/C vents? Do they come out from the front or the back?

Everything looks original/in tact and I Don't want to break any hard to replace parts in the removal process.

Not sure how much help this is, but my '69 A/C dash has the centre & pass vents screwed in from behind. Drivers vent also mounts from behind is in the dash panel.

One more tip. Check that you've got all the nuts securing the dash pad out. I followed the factory manual & removed the 3 nuts near the glovebox.
Unfortunatly there were 4 nuts. Result. A good dash pad with a slight crack:Dou::af:

Ok thank you. I'm going to try to get at least the pad off before work tonight. I want to get the entire dash out to repaint the metal, polish the gauge lenses, replace the inlays with new ones, etc.

Ducts are held on in the back with #8 hex head screws. Should be 1/4" socket.
