I sure missed the boat on this one. Ticks every box and then some. I didn't see it until this post. Oh well... I guess I'll watch for the flip sale.
Are the last 6 digits consistent with when they were produced? I don't have the VIN handy from the 71 GSX (350) I owned a while back, just curious. 71's without docs can be a crap shoot.
Had low 7xx cowl tag .White body color on tag..455 non stage no docs avaliable to view. This wasnt a show car. Also add 18% internet bidder fee
Saw this the day it went to auction. Bummer. Looks like a nice car and I did not see the other white GSX. Hmmm. Mark
Eh...kind of, if he isn't planning on doing anything with it major. Looks like it could use a freshening up, and the stripes are a mile off. I wouldn't kick it out of my garage, that's for sure.
Agree - The '71-2 GSX's, exc. in rare circumstances (e.g. maybe Mike's '72 Stage 1 4-sp.) don't bring the $ that '70's do but they cost just as much to restore. Back in the day @ the Nationals they were looked down upon as not being "real" GSX's, esp. the 350 &/or bench seat/col. shift cars. Personally, this one (& the other '71 basket case that sold recently) would be the least desirable color as well. I'd rather have any of the other colors or white w/a black vinly top (the black top w/GSX stripes look has really grown on me). If I had my druthers (w/121 made one can't be too choosy), and there may not have even been one made, I'd prefer one in any color w/a black painted top.
I had seriously considered bidding on this car, until I saw the A/C, as the last thing I wanted was another A/C car.
