Car is Cortez gold, is a genuine 1971 GSX 350, but is missing rocker panel moldings ,has incorrect brake booster and master and has a 72 rear bumper just for starters.

Also, if it is a factory hood tach car, there should be a heater nipple riveted to upper drivers side of heater box with hose attached that would plug on to underside of hood tach.

No heater nipple, so UB5 hood tach is likely been added and not original to this car.

    All correctable issues.

Anyone have pics of the GM of Canada documentation??

I like this car.....small blocks are becoming much more appealing to me after doing the power tour this year in a 350 2bbl

I like the busted off windshield squirter laying on the incorrect cowl screen. Also like the reused rusty hardware.

What's up with the power window switches? The driver's door has the early (to '70) and the passenger door has the '71 & later style.

Hard to compare a survivor car with a restored one.

It was a little hastily re assembled. Nothing a few weekends couldn't remedy. All the $$$ work as been done.

I go the other way, I prefer a restored car over a survivor. I own a 71 Skylark convertible with 40,000 original miles and while it is definately a nice car, it is still a "used" car.

You can call it a survivor if you want, but to me that term is being kicked around to the point of entirely loosing its meaning.

If you find a very low mileage car wearing 80-90% of its original paint, with very little if anything changed, in my mind that is a survivor, not what people are calling them today. Anything else is simply a used car.

To me seeing a car that looks like it just rolled off the lot is a way of turning back time to the day when you could slap the money down and drive it away. I was too young to do that in the day, but I sure can fix that problem now.

How about that? You are correct. Sold for $27,500.00

It seems like there is always something to learn about the car auction biz. It all smells a little fishy. You have to wonder when you see the back lots at the auctions and they are unloading semi trucks from all over the country. It's obvious that these cars are being flipped a lot.

    No kidding .. Most Ad's read ..
All Original except one repaint in the 90's . New interior and rebuilt drivetrain.. Wtf left is still original ?
Also to me survivor means good original condition . Not crater pits in chrome ect .. In most cases " unrestored " would be a better choice then " survivor".
    Regards.
