Anyone familiar with this car? Been for sale a while and looks like it has a few needs, but love that Cortez Gold on white. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2654531530...AAOSw6SVhTPeL&LH_ItemCondition=3000|1000|2500
I don't get painting these cars with doors & trunk off. It's bad enough lining up the FE sheetmetal. Even when it all fits perfectly before being disassembled & painted it still doesn't go back together exactly the same. I cannot imagine trying to align newly painted doors & trunk but I see it all the time.
It has sold on ebay several times to be relisted. My guess he runs the bid up and then claims the buyer did not pay???? Sold for $36,211.00 one time. I know it has sold more that the two that I could find. .
Yeah, my thoughts exactly, listed in FL, NC, multiple times, noticed the paint difference in panels also. Interior panel fit looks a little wonky, and what's up with the red button seatbelts in the back seat? Just didn't know if anyone knew the history on it.
wow thats the first conv I've seen with bucket/console. 71-72 only i thought they (conv's) never came with those options.? nice car with a great color. johnny
Could be gotten as an SCO but unlikely orig. The couple I've seen had a big "SCO" stamped into the trim tag but who knows if they were all that way &/or even if the SCO was necissarily for buckets/console but likely would've been.
Buckets and console weren't standard items but could be special ordered as an S.C.O. There are some on V8 forum.
A lot of these fifty year old cars can be a bit wonky, I sure like that gold and white though. I think the value is $38,000
