For sale is my 71 GS 350 in Phoenix, AZ area. Has a 70 350 engine which is not drivable due to oil pressure issues. Needs a rebuild/replace. The 4 speed numbers match the VIN (43437H176557). There is a chatter going into 1st gear. I only move it up down the driveway right now due to the engine problem.

Couple of small spots of surface rust, nothing to be concerned about. One above windshield on pass. side and behind rear window. Straight car. N25 bumber, front and rear spoiler, hood tach (I added it).

Looks like a nice car. Is the paint faded in the rear due to sun????

Also, can you help with coordinating shipping?

    Bill,
The paint looks better in the pics that in person I think. The whole car needs paint. Has lived outside from 91 till 2002. There is checking in several areas on the paint. I bought the car in 91 with a 70 350 engine to be put in. At that time the engine was assembled and installed along with a 12 bolt rear (not posi). I bought the car in Georgia so I would say that it was there for most of it life up until 2000 where it was brought here to AZ. I have has one guy come out here to look at it twice. He has offered 5500. I can take what ever pics you need. I don't know what would need to be done for shipping. The car runs but only for moving up and down the driveway. No real oil pressure to speak of and needs a rebuild or replacement. There is not real problem rust on this car. THe guy that looked at it was not worried about it. Looks to be a solid straight car. Hate to part with it. It was my first car.

    Thanks,

    Chris

If anyone gets serious about this car I am in AZ on holidays and looked at this car. The body is razor straight with NO rust other than the surface pieces showing in the pictures. It needs an engine (rod knocking), front seat covers, front door panels and paint. Chris is very busy working. The best way to contact him is leaving a message on his home #.
    Cheers

    Finally!

After much gnashing of teeth and tearing of garments...she's coming home with me...across town.

Chris and I have been talking since November.

The car has great potential...looking forward to yanking the engine and getting her back on the road in February...if all goes well. (probably March)

There's lots to do, but a lot there to work with. The body is exceptionally clean, but the paint will have to be stripped.

It's originally a Cortez Gold car, but will probably stay red.

I'm in love with the numbers matching 4 speed. Never had a 4 speed GS or Skylark.

The consolette is cool, the bucket seats are cool, the 4 speed is cool, the spoilers are cool, the rallye wheel is cool. The 15" wheels are cool. The 12 bolt rear end is cool...

Not sure what to do with 5 cars...Sportwagon anyone??? No, that's too tought to let go of...
