I was reading a thread from a little while ago and I am confused as to the stock compression of a 71 350. I was under the impression that stock compression was 8.5:1, but I could be wrong. What is it?? Adam
Adam - 8.5 to 1 is correct for the '71 350. If you were to also deck the block to between zero and -.005", you would increase your compression to around 9.5 to 1 - more power AND less chance for detonation!!
