I have a stock 1971 350-4V out of a Skylark that I swapped into my 64 Special. My car has manual brakes, so for now I just wanted to plug the vacuum hole in the stock manifold, but it appears that Buick used inverted flare hard line to go to the brake booster, and the elbow in the intake manifold doesn't appear to be screwed in but rather pushed in? Just wanted to verify that it's not threaded in, which means I'll have to get a male inverted flare-to-NPT female adapter in order to plug it with an NPT plug. No biggy (unless that large inverted flare size adapter is hard to find, I'll check my normal local stores tomorrow). I turned the elbow one turn but got suspicious that it wasn't threaded in.

The elbow should be threaded into the intake. 1/8" NPT

OK cool- when I turned it last night it didn't appear to move up and expose any threads so I stopped to get confirmation (didn't want to mess anything up and risk needing to pull the intake). But I guess with the 1/8 NPT thread it's a pretty small pitch so maybe I was expecting more rise after 1 rotation. I'll spin it off tongiht, thanks guys.

I should have a stock hard line for a 350 with the flare nut, bracket and hose to the PB if you need one, thanks Bill.
