First of all I'm going to be rebuilding a 2004r over this coming summer to install in my Regal but in the mean time, the tranny I have now is slipping pretty bad that needs replaced. I have a good friend who just pulled his 700r4 out of his 86 V8 Camaro and will give it to me pretty cheap. I have been reading up on swapping in the 700r4 and the only factor I can see that will hang me up is shortening the drive shaft 3". I don't really want to do this because I want to be able to swap the 2004r back in when I'm done rebuilding it or swap in a 350 if I don't get it done. So I guess my question is, can I just take his Camaro drive shaft as well? Will it be the correct length for my 85 Regal? Thanks,
