Attached are a couple of pics of the 70 W30 JEA and I are delivering to you at Norwalk for pure stock eliminator. Can you still handle the Olds big block torque? How about heads up against the W31 for pink slips?

I am assuming Dave H. is still going to agree to buy it when we whip the W31 with another hundred and well we will say five cubes.

If he doesn't, I wish I had room for a oldsmobubble, but I don't so he better take it!

So I guess, you are running for "pink slips/titles" instead of just dinner! I can't believe we are are talking about DH without his wit and wisdom jumping in, but it is all in fun! and when he does jump in the wit and wisdom will hit the fan, with more fun, I'm sure!

He claims his body is getting more aerodynamic (spherical) with the windows down not to mention less air friction from loss of hair so it ought to be a clean competitive run.

I think Dave was also talking about proper weight bias now with more weight on those skinny little redlines for a better launch!:Do No: I think that would make a fine addition to my collection. I think that would make a good car for my 23 day old son to start wrenching on.!:TU: :3gears:

    oh man..

John, just where in God's name do you unearth these things? this car must have been done a LONG time ago with the Eagle ST's still on it. They haven't made those for a LONG time. I'm looking under the wrong rocks.

Cambell Cross lives right down the the road from me and you came up here and fished one out right under my nose.

I thought his name was Larry Cross?

so who is this guy Larry told me about that lives close to there and has like 300 cars in various chicken coops? I remember Larry told me that the guy was an reaL eccentric, and even had a new 1975'ish Eldo CONV. in his living room with 16 miles on it?

Lawrence not Larry, but the middle name that he goes by is Cambell . Another old drag racer from around here that hung out at the tracks in the 60s when you shifted them yourself.

If your look at the first pic real close you can just make out a liittle chicken dung we missed.

    John,

    Beautiful W-30!!
My '70 W-30 is the exact opposite color scheme: Ebony Black with Galleon Gold stripes. Hmmmm, maybe I should buy it instead of Dave. They'd make a nice matched pair. If only I had another chicken coop in which to store it.....

Don't be shy. It can be bought at a reasonable price. Jim the car was less than 4 hrs from me. It had been offered for sale when I had the Brown 71 W-30 and I didn't think I needed another car. It was offered again and I snatched it up. It is a real nice car that can be driven anywhere if you have access to AV gas and a big wallet. The 3 91 gears make it a little unreasonable at highway speeds but a raped ape from stoplight to stoplight. I would really like to get it ready for Pure Stock but don't know if I am ready. Haven't raced a car in 40 years.

I'd be more than happy to race it for you, if you're too chicken. I'm just an hour from the track.

My W-30 isn't quite "pure" enough for the race.

Go ahead and tell them how we thought the chicken dung covering was a protective layer of plaster of paris!

    A few questions................

Been away up in Cadillac, Mi for a few days, this is interesting.

That is one beautiful car. The cost of buying it would be a mere pittance compared to what my divorce would cost. (No I don't need a lawyer!)

I think Shakespeare said it best:

    "Let's kill all the lawyers."

Who else can afford to have all this fun? I felt guilty playing a dollar slot machine last night in the Little River Casino in Manistee.

There will be no title for title racing with my Ramrod, even if it's against a Yugo, a small bore Olds 400, a Buick 350, or any Ford  (all references to Mercury products is purely coincidental)......... However...

A little wager may be possible here........................

    1. Who will be driving the W30?
    2. Would it be running on those old brick tires? (They make great smoke)

    Shall we say...........dinner? :beer

    :Brow: :Brow: :Brow:
